About Knee Replacement
Knee replacement (knee arthroplasty) is a surgical procedure to replace weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint. It is most commonly performed for osteoarthritis to relieve severe pain and restore functional movement.
When is Replacement Necessary?
- Severe knee pain that limits walking or climbing stairs.
- Moderate or severe knee pain while resting.
- Chronic inflammation and swelling that doesn't improve.
- Knee deformity — bowing in or out of the knee.
- Failure to improve with non-surgical treatments.
Our Advanced Approach
We utilize minimally invasive sub-vastus approaches which avoid cutting muscle tendons, resulting in less pain and a significantly faster return of function.
