Appendicitis is the inflammation of the appendix. If left untreated, it can rupture, leading to serious infections. A laparoscopic appendectomy is the safest and most effective way to remove the inflamed organ through small keyhole incisions.
Warning Signs
- Sudden Pain: Starting on the right side of the lower abdomen.
- Jarring Pain: Worsens with coughing, walking, or sudden movements.
